Achieving accurate and reliable results depends on: diagnostic kit, RNA prep solution, swap for sampling, disposables (pipette tips, strip tubes and plates for RT-PCR) and instrument.
Possible Reasons of Poor Results;
- Not to store IVD kit at -20 C in a deep freezer (Please check the expiration date)
- To use the IVD kit after freeze and defrost more than 2 times
- Low quality RNA Prep solutions (Please check the expiration date)
- Low quality white Sample tubes (Strip tubes, optical caps, plates or sealing)
- Not doing master mix and sample pipetting on a bench top cooler
- Pipetting master mix and samples under a direct light source (Taqman probes may be affected negatively)
- Using unfiltered, non-sterile and non-hydrophobic pipette tips
- Using RT-PCR at too hot or too low room temperatures
Main Features of the LongGene devices
- Using LED light sources for each channel separately (No optical calibration is needed)
- Using new generation SSLP CCD cameras each channel separately (No optical calibration is needed)
- Using new generation peltier elements (Supports fast protocols, 1,000,000 cycle life time)
- Self test function
